The annual swimsuit issue of Southern Boating magazine is out.

This year, the models and their captains took their power boats to the famed Stiltsville, a historical location at sea, where Biscayne bay, near Miami, meets the edge of the earth.

In addition to the beautiful swimsuits they modeled, you can see them wearing Miss Nyet Jewelry around their wrists.

Want to check out the whole 16-page feature? Dreaming about sailing on your own boat someday to explore the jewels of the South and the Caribbean? To get information about the magazine and to subscribe, please visit: www.southernboating.com.

In the meantime, here are a couple photos featuring Miss Nyet Jewelry.

Enjoy!

The Chicago Literary Hall of Fame is thrilled to announce that its 3rd annual induction ceremony will be held Nov. 30 at the Chicago Cultural Center’s Claudia Cassidy Theater as part of the city’s 150th Birthday Celebration.

In anticipation to this event, you are invited this saturday at the CLHOF silent auction and cocktail party, hosted by SNL comedian and actress Nora Dunn, at the Hilton/Asmus contemporary 716 N. Wells in Chicago.

A limited amount of tickets is still available for purchase. Details for the party can be found here.

Attached is an article about Delphine Pontvieux, who will also be in attendance at the event, written by Donald G. Evans, founder and executive director of the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame.

Does she juggle too?

“You might know Delphine Pontvieux as the author of the thriller ETA and the publisher of Miss Nyet Publishing. Or you might know her as a tri-athlete, scuba instructor, waterboarder or rock climber. Maybe you’re aware of her work as an actress in LOL, where she played Joan of Arc’s mother. You could have bumped into her in her travels as an international saleswoman and promoter in the music and entertainment industries. Perhaps you just know her as the really tall and attractive French woman.
Now, in a kick to the face to all of us trying to get one thing right, she designs jewelry.” Read the rest of the article here.

It is official, the new Miss Nyet Jewelry fall/winter collection is out!

Featuring a lot of Latigo leather, suede lace and hammered old French coins, it has already captured the attention of the public!

So much so, the booth was given a blue ribbon by patrons of the Randolph Street market this morning.

If you are in Chicago, come by tomorrow to try on the different styles.

If not able to attend, or you live outside the city, state, or even country, do not despair. The new catalog, available in PDF format, will be available by the end of next week. Just send an email to anchorbracelets AT gmail DOT com to request your copy, so you can browse our new collection.

In the meantime, here are a few photos from our booth, as well as a couple of our new bracelets. Enjoy!

The LATIGO bracelet:

The LATIGO is a unisex bracelet. It is made of Latigo leather, a cattle hide leather which is used for saddlery work and numerous other outdoor uses, wherever a supple, durable leather is needed. It is thick, yet soft to the touch and gorgeous.

It is available in two colors, brown and black (brown is 1 5/8 wide and black is 1 1/4) and 2 standard wrist sizes, 7 1/2 and 8 1/2 inches long.

However, since I make the jewelry to order, I can custom made your order to a specific wrist size for a perfect fit, as well as mix-and-match colors as needed, such as brown on black or vice versa.

The anchor shackle, as well as the snap-in clasp are made of stainless steel, which won’t rust.

Send an email to anchorbracelets AT gmail DOT com to place your order.

The “STAPLE” leather and suede bracelet

Now this is a fun one to wear, as you can mix and match it with many other bracelets in the Miss Nyet Jewelry collection, or you can wear a few of them together in different colors/beads combinations.

The STAPLE is made of either black or brown 1/2 inch wide Latigo leather, a cattle hide leather which is used for saddlery work and numerous other outdoor uses, wherever a supple, durable leather is needed. It is available in various combinations of suede colors, including: rust, beige, black, turquoise, red, electric blue or purple, with metal beads and/or rivets.

Standard size is approx. 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 inch in length.

Since I make the jewelry to order, I can custom make your order to a specific wrist size for a perfect fit, as well as mix-and-match colors and beads as needed.

Send an email to anchorbracelets AT gmail DOT com to place your order.

The “CONCHO” leather and stainless steel or solid brass

The CONCHO is a wraparound-style bracelet made of either black or brown 1/2 inch wide Latigo leather, a cattle hide leather which is used for saddlery work and numerous other outdoor uses, wherever a supple, durable leather is needed. The bracelet is over 30 inches in length and designed to wrap itself 4 times around your wrist. It is adorned with a “concho,” a decorative metal piece that is usually added to leather items such as saddle strings. While conchos can be very intricate in their designs, this one is made of either stainless steel (silver) or solid brass (gold) and polished to a mirror-like finish.

The CONCHO bracelet is available either plain, or adorned with suede lace in the following colors: rust, beige, black, turquoise, red, electric blue or purple.

Send an email to anchorbracelets AT gmail DOT com to place your order.
